Run through The T (ISBN# 0-9724883-0-8) contains 228 pages and has 130 photos. It measures 9x12" and is a little under one inch thick. Under the jacket, it sports a black cloth hardcover with a black foil-stamped "Power T" logo on the front. It's a substantial and heavy book. The paper used is a heavy glossy stock ideal for reproducing photos well and has a high degree of opacity which will not allow a photo from another page "bleed through" to the one you¹re trying to look at. Most of the photos run across both pages as a spread or "double truck." Hence most of the pictures in the book measure 12x18" so it¹s more like a book full of posters than a book full of photos. Since this book was essentially designed by a photographer, it is admittedly strictly a photo book. It's all about the pictures; not graphics, typography, or design. Ultimately the book offers a unique view of the inside of what it is to be part of a dominant powerhouse NCAA Division I football program. So ultimately, even if you pull for another team, RTTT will give you a glimpse of what happens every game day Saturday in the Fall with "your team." Some of the players and coaches at Tennessee have seen it and their reaction to what they saw was interesting. To them, photos of the team in the locker room, or them sleeping on the bus on the way to the game seemed cool and different even though they live those moments all the time. They laughed at the pictures and realized that they were extraordinary images shot of them in, to them, ordinary situations. But to fans, this will be the first time ever to be able to see some of these images. Over the past four years, I've realized that many people in the program that travel to games and either play for, coach, or support the team in some way don't "get" the reality of their respective situations until they're gone. This book will help many people have fond memories of how the game has touched their lives. It will help others to see why football is such an important element to our culture and our uniqueness as Americans. Like jazz is "our" music, football is "our" game, all of ours. We schedule our Thanksgiving meal around the it, some of us scan the sports section every day to see "our" players in college or the NFL, and some become football widows each Fall as we lose loved ones to games, recruiting web sites, and deep discussions, etc. Last, this book is not a product of a nameless, faceless multi-national publishing conglomerate. When you buy a copy, it helps my family pay back the bank we borrowed from to pay for it's printing and other real bills like our mortgage, car payment, and for my daughter Sophie's college fund. Additionally, 9% of the proceeds goes right back to the University of Tennessee because this book is an officially licensed product through CLC. If you'd like to own a copy or make a gift of it to someone you know would enjoy it, you can buy it direct right off the home page or click on the "retail partners" button and find out where you can buy one near where you live. Oh yeah, GO VOLS!!!
